10-Minute Chocolate Bark

Picture this: It’s 10 pm. You’re settled nicely into your comfy couch. Maybe with a book, maybe with the next 10 netflix episodes youre about to watch. Either way, you’re cozy and you’re not movin’. Suddenly…Something shifts inside you and you’re no longer satisfied with your surroundings. What is it? What about this perfect scene changed? It’s missing something. Something important. It’s missing chocolate.

But what are you going to do? Go out to the corner store and buy some yucky bad quality chocolate? THATS a laugh. Like I said, you’re not movin’. Besides, that stuff is so full of bad sugars and fats that you’ll never feel satisfied. You’ll just eat it and feel sick. What you want is some quality stuff. Some stuff that’ll kick this craving in the butt, make ya feel good and make your night 1000000x better (these are appropriate expectations of chocolate, no?) But UGH! that good quality stuff requires a trip to the actual grocery store. Life is so tough. You begin to make some moves off the couch trying to decide – is it worth it? is this worth pants? Well, I have another question for you: Do you have three ingredients in your kitchen?! WELL THEN YOUR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED!!! (okay well not ANY three ingredients. I’m not magic.) Do you have cocoa? Do you have coconut oil? Do you have honey or maple syrup? WELL THEN YOUR PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED!

But seriously this stuff is like woah. 3 ingredients, 10 minutes and BAM you’ve got chocolate. Not to mention you can chop this into chunks and use it in your baking! As I said, it’s like woah.



This chocolate takes zero time to make and it sets in the fridge in under 10 minutes. But I probably dont even have to tell you that because who wouldnt check on chocolate every 30 seconds and eat it the SECOND it was set. You definitely want to do this.

Sometimes if I’m feeling impatient (which I am now realizing is more often than not since I’ve started writing down my recipes) I stick it in the freezer to set faster. I also happen to love frozen chooclate so I often store it in the freezer in an airtight container. I mean…The fridge is fine too for you patient folk. I’ll get there someday. In the mean time, ENJOY!


  • 3/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  •  1 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/4  cup honey or maple syrup
  • OPTIONAL: flaked coconut for sprinkling on top


  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Whisk all ingredients together until silky and pour over parchment paper and smooth out the surface using a spatula.
  • If using coconut flakes, sprinkle these on top.
  • Transfer to freezer for 10 minutes or until set. Enjoy!
